Can you separate yourself from the thinker? Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, yet we don’t realize it because almost everybody suffers from it, so in today’s society it is considered normal. That mental noise in the thinking mind, however, prevents you from finding that inner stillness that is inseparable from Being. A conditioned mind pattern will tell you that you don’t have time to go into the body, there’s too much to do, there’s too much to think about, and so on. It’s a lie. You must see it as a lie. Stepping back and away from the mind and choosing not to think in that moment will bring you into a clear state of Being. This is the delight of life. The delight of Being…alive.
I’ve always said if you want to get still and connect with yourself and God, watch nature. Observe the squirrels chasing around the trees, a butterfly sitting on a flower, a bird bathing in a puddle as it flaps its wings…they all delight in being alive. As humans, when we lose that delight of being alive, returning to it will bring you to a deeper level of when you’ve lost it. That’s the beauty of it. You will experience peace, and will be touching the source of all creativity, intuition, realization, and true intelligence. This is all there when you step out of the conditioned stream of thinking without losing consciousness. You will separate yourself from the thinker. You will understand the difference. You will enjoy the delight of life. The delight of Being alive.
In my most recent blog, Attainable Peace, I also discuss finding that peaceful state of being. It is so simple and so attainable. More importantly peace as a state of being is essential on this planet. May I encourage you today, here and now, to get still? Separate yourself from the thinker and chose the delight of Being? This is the delight of life.
